Welcome to

Frenchy’s

The home of Houston’s famous “Frenchy’s Chicken” and New Orleans-inspired Creole comforts. In the mood for some real soul food? We’ve been dishing up authentic Southern Louisiana cookin’ since 1969 — starting with

Percy “Frenchy” Creuzot Jr.

With help from family and friends, he built a legacy from humble beginnings in a small sandwich shop in the Third Ward on Scott Street.

Opening the original “Frenchy’s Po-Boy” was a big risk for Percy, but one that paid off in the long-run thanks to his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to bringing a much-needed Creole revolution to the local food scene. The business took flight after Percy’s signature-seasoned Fried Chicken, inspired by old New Orleans family recipes, became a staple on the Frenchy’s menu. Not straying far from their roots, the Creuzot family paired it with classic Creole sides like dirty rice, collard greens, and red beans that had rich flavor with French, Spanish, Caribbean and African influence.

Over the many years of serving our famous recipes with a big smile and helping hand, we’ve proudly grown to become a hometown favorite for millions of guests seeking a special kind of comfort. Food made with a passion for community and respect for its heritage deserves to be shared, whether you’re a regular Frenchy’s guest or trying us out for the first time.

When you’re eating with us, you’re family — and we’ve never lost sight of that.
